Dinner out for our anniversary & having looked at the reviews on TripAdvisor we went here. Very nice, big portions, we both started with Short Soup (yummy on a cold night), big bowl with 6 wontons, then we ordered Coconut King Prawns & Deep Fried Duck with Plum sauce, one small boiled & one small fried rice. All very tasty but we could not eat it all & took home 3 take away containers full. Service & decor was great as well, would recommend.
Passing through Goulburn, and visited this restaurant after reading the reviews, we weren't disappointed. The restaurant is large, clean with good seating. The staff were friendly and efficient. The food was served quickly, tasted great and had very generous servings. We couldn't eat all we had ordered and were offered takeaway boxes to take what we hadn't eaten. Will definitely eat here again when in Goulburn.
We were travelling from Albury to Newcastle and wanted a nice meal instead of the usual take away. We were concerned that this restaurant may close before we got there so chose to order over the phone. Unfortunately it had been cooked too early and the beef dish was soggy and unappetising; as was the salt and pepper squid. The special fried rice was lovely. The restaurant did look lovely and clean and the young lady serving was polite and helpful.
Looks fresh, modern and clean. Seemed to be doing a good trade in take-away and in-house dining. Excellent San Choi Bow (but they call it something slightly different); steamed dim sims were really flavoursome; chili beef was a favourite; the seafood hotpot had really nice fish in it and lots of vegetables too; sweet & sour pork (which wasn't highly coloured or swimming in gloopy sauce); special fried rice was full of proteins (chicken, prawn, egg, pork) and vegetables, and was the best special fried rice I've had in a long time. A few dessert options too, with the favourite being a good fried ice cream. The cheesecake was a slice of mass-produced (probably frozen and thawed) cheesecake, so don't expect anything home-made or gourmet. As well as chinese, they have a good range of thai food too.
