The price is not cheap, but hey, I always believe you pay what you get. The portion is big, and very generous compared with some other Cafes in town. I love the artworks displayed in the shop. The tram on is my favourite. Which one is yours?
Ordered eggs Benedict and it was pretty delicious. Bread was toasted perfectly, yummy hollandaise sauce, runny eggs and generous portion of mushrooms. Coffee was alittle hot when served but quite fragrant with a hint of nutty caramel I think? Service was prompt. My family enjoyed the meal :
This looked like a perfect spot to stop, but we were slightly disappointed. As a cook myself and fussy with hygiene, I noted a couple of things that were in need of change. 1: we sat and watched as workers came in the entrance door and went behind the counter to start serving without washing their hands. 2: When wiping down the benches at the prep area, coffee machine they used the same cloth to wipe the bench as the steamer on the machine then placed it back on the bench. 3: the table we sat at was of a picnic style and had food trapped in the crevices. How long that had been there, but not a good look.
Nice cafe with good selection. Got the b+e bagel for $11, the bacon &cheese sconne for $5.50 and a small flat white for $5. All was really good, maybe coulda toasted the bagel for longer until it was crispy though.
Great spot to sit and soak up the morning sun for breakfast. Wasn't going to eat here, but glad I did the salmon benny was great and very generous with smoked salmon, eggs were perfectly cooked, well done. Service was spot on as was the coffee. I can see why it gets busy here. Good work people
