The lady greeted us at our table and took our orders by memory. The best iced mocha i have had in a while and the views of the beach from the tables are even better. The only problem is the bathrooms are also shared with the hot pools so they are in constant use, better to go over to the library. I also noticed they sell plants so make sure you bring some cash if you want any.
We went there on Saturday. It was almost 1 PM but the place was very busy! We ordered light meals and waited 20 minutes for our food to arrive. Although we were not hungry, the food tasted a little plain. We can enjoy the view by the sea which was a highlight of this cafe. Otherwise, average place to go.
Saturdays Cafe in Christchurch offers a fantastic experience. Easy, delicious breakfasts, stunning beach views, and the unique flavor of feijoa made my first visit unforgettable. Highly recommended for a relaxing beachside meal!
Love the cafe and views! The food was excellent too! We ordered the bao buns with pork belly and peanut butter waffles! It was delicious the bao buns and the pork belly was tender! The waffles were crispy and the peanut butter was smooth! Coffee was great and service was excellent
Food here is delicious and meals are big, Chef's seem happy because you can see the happy jokes they have with each other in the kitchen. Sometimes the waiters and waitresses are so busy they seem to forget the pleasantries but that's only on odd occasion. Overall, great place to go and enjoy a summer's day. Hopefully this place will eventually explore opening hours in warmer months for a dinner service as they have prime location and would rather to ALWAYs go here then Salt on the Pier
