Taverne Eibsee - Grainau

I can confirm everything. wants to write something from his own experience. the first time I was here almost 40 years ago. then again and again in the years after. when the children were small, they were fun to put the legs in the water. they made a walk along the lake. it was always quite quiet and idyllic and then it did not cost a parking fee. Now it came to me again, in the hot summer of 2018 it will be presented here, in almost 1000 meters high beautiful cool. in the morning it was like that. 4 euro are now parking. but in contrast to earlier, I no longer liked it, all oriented towards tourism, and accordingly it was full. is like this today everywhere, and since I know it now, I don't have to go again. but the sea in itself, surrounded by mountain peaks and alps, is very beautiful. If they are close, a unique journey is recommended.

10.05.2016 during our stay in kornau we also visited the eibsee. after leaving the quiet village of kornau led the road in flat serpentines mountainan and soon went parallel to the glimms of the train which supported on this road by a gear wheel. behind a pass it went back a piece downhill. soon we already saw the deep blue turquoise dazzles dazzles water of the eib lake in 970 meters height in some distance. a parking control system has two paid parking spaces. free parking is not possible in the periphery. parking costs 3,50 € per day or 2 € from 15 o'clock. because we didn't want to round the lake completely, which in about two hours to about 8.8 km length, shot away is possible, we decided to go against the in the clockwise sense, as one has the most beautiful view of the trainer from the southwest and a smaller bridge there. from the opposite side they see the ammergauer alpen. so we started, but we had to notice that there is no promenade, but they get a forest trail behind the hotel and follow the paid parking lot. first, the unhindered gaze was influenced by the sea and the gaiter of tannen trees that grow in insulting. on the side of the piste, the delicate green of the forest berries, blueberries and the white flowers of the ochsalkel in the wind were accompanied by wanderers and hikers with child cars or free running dogs. spontaneously our sniffing waffel, to which I want to travel so hard, is no longer waiting for them to travel, then and when a resting bank flanked the way. after a few hundred meters we reached a bridge that bridges a soul. from here a magnificent view of the lake and the mountain peak opened. we stayed here, enjoyed the view and photographed the szenario in changing lighting conditions. then we went back to the car. it was a wonderful walk! here are some information about the size of the eibsee. as I already wrote, the eibsee is located at 970 meters high, is a natural mountain lake with beautiful clear turquoise blue water. it has a circumference of 8.8 km, a largest length of 2450 meters, a largest width of 850 meters and is up to 32.5 meters deep! he has seven islands: alpenbühl, ludwigsinsel, scheibeinsel, schönbühl, braxeninsel, sasseninsel, as well as the small island group consisting of three islands, the so-called steinbühl. who wants to know about geology and history can read more in wikipedia.
