The 'Filet de perches' is also very good with homemade sauce tatar. They furthermore have a good choice of local Suisse wines. The service is always very friendly and very professional. I do not give this restaurant top rating, because I have had a few desserts, that are not up to standard. I do feel very welcome and enjoy this modern decorated restaurant, which is located next to Lac de Neuchatel in the village of Grandson with a wonderful view of Yverdon and the lake all year round. In the summer you can even eat on their big terasse.
Fancy modern fine dining. Very expensive. You have to call for reservation and in summer, it's not sure you get the seat. The staff could be much much more nicely. Food is excellent.
We held our wedding dinner (170 people) at the Quais de Grandson. All the guests were enchanted with both the location and the dinner. As groom and bride, we can only recommend the restaurant. The food and wine are local and excellent, the price was reasonnable and the service super pro and friendly !We'll certainly go back !!!
Yes the location on the lake is very pleasant, yes the place is very bright, yes the welcome is smiling and yes, the food is good..... but! ... not as good as we hoped and the service is far from what you would would expect in a place that pretends to play in the (relatively) higher category. Were there on a Sunday for lunch. The menu was foie gras (excellent), perch filets (small serving, unsavory fries....) and chocolate fondant (ok). Decent but nothing to dream about. One of us selected some dishes from the menu, with an original eggplant starter (very good), good but not specially tasty scallops and quite average cafe gourmand. Nice presentation of the dishes. The overall feeling was pleasant, not more than that and we had to ask for bread, order for wine was a bit delayed... No doubt a good choice if you're in the area but probably not worth a big detour.
We booked a table for four on a weekday evening - the terrace was full but our table was well-situated right on the edge of the lakeside promenade. Very friendly and efficient service. We asked for a local wine that wasn't on the wine list and the waitress was able to find a bottle at a very reasonable price. The food was excellent, especially the perch fillets and the calf sweetbread starter. We will definitely go back!
