We ordered chips, ribs, peas, and a "doggy dinner" for our pet, which included a long sausage with gravy, handmade steak pie, chips, and vegetables. We also ordered two Diet Cokes. Unfortunately, we were disappointed with our meal. The chips seemed old and the dog didn't even want to eat her sausage. The coleslaw tasted stale, the ribs were only warm, and the steak pie was the only decent dish, although the pastry could have been better. We won't be returning to this restaurant.
We decided to dine at this restaurant today because it is located on the waterfront and was convenient for our location at the time. The interior looked a bit old and worn, but since there were other families dining there, we decided to give it a try. The prices for food and drinks were a bit high, but we attributed it to the fact that it is a seaside pub. However, the condition of the toilets was quite disappointing, with each one appearing rusty and stained. Despite the restaurant advertising cocktails everywhere, the one I ordered came in a Stella Artois glass, which was not quite what I expected. Lastly, the chicken dish we ordered was extremely dry, indicating that it may have been pre-cooked and reheated. Overall, the experience was not pleasant and we could not finish our meal.
This is a welcoming pub. We decided to have lunch here and were pleased with the food. The outdoor seating area was perfect for us and provided a peaceful retreat from the busier pubs. The prices were fair, however the expensive parking fees are not the responsibility of the pub.
The landlord and landlady were very friendly, good was home cooked and very tasty, reasonably priced, we would highly recommend.
My partner and I popped in for a spot of lunch on our Yarmouth adventures. After perusing the fayre she decided on the eggs, chips and beans whilst I was tempted by, the only vegan offering I could see, of a curry with the chips instead of rice. The staff were very nice and polite especially when I handed over the £25 (deep breath) for our luncheon (including two pints of Heineken). After a half hour wait our food was brought to our table and the portion sizes looked a tad on Honey I 've shrunk the dinner proportions. My partner 's food was just ok, and the sprinkling of chips (fries) were cheap and tasted of old oil. My curry was ok, microwaved, and again the chips (fries) were very cheap and definitely as if the oil had not been changed for a while. Being out of season there was not many people in so in don 't know what the delay was. It looks as though the owners don 't respond to comments on here so it is really matter of passing on our experience of a one time (there will not be another) in this establishment.
