The Darnum Hotel Pub

I went to this restaurant a few weeks ago and tried the Jack Daniels Parma. The sauce was absolutely delicious, I would give it a 10/10. The portion size was very generous, I couldn't finish it all despite my best efforts. It was definitely worth the price! The only disappointment was the side salad, it was lacking flavor and was not up to par.

Went here with a group of 22 for lunch. They did know we were coming. Food was good and generous. Some of our group had to wait and others missed their entree but overall we were all agreed a job well done considering. As far as quality of food I can only rate on what I and my husband had. Chicken scallopine and burger. Both were good.

We visited this small hotel on a Friday night based on a recommendation from our neighbors and were impressed by the open layout of the dining room. However, when I asked to see the wine list, the bartender informed me that they did not have one yet but would have one the following week. She had to look up the price of a bottle on the cash register, which raised some concerns about the pricing system. The wine was good and reasonably priced, and the cozy fire was welcoming. Unfortunately, the meals were disappointing overall. Our neighbor, who was a professional chef, felt that his meal tasted like it was made from processed chicken. The restaurant seemed unorganized and underprepared. I may give it another try in six months. If you do visit, be sure to check out the charming horse lampshade above the pool table in the bar, which was a standout feature despite the disappointing food.

We had heard that the change of owners had made a big difference to this local pub. The rumours were right. The setting is still old and tired but the meals are good honest pub food. I ordered Chilli Muscles which were very good in a rich, warm chilli sauce.

Went here for my a family members birthday. It was nice inside and enjoyed the wood fire however it was still quite cold inside. The service was a bit slow but everyone was friendly. The food was good and everyone enjoyed their meals.
