Homemade Southern Cuisine - Green Bay

The place is owned and operated by the nicest woman I have encountered in a long time. She cooks all of the food from scratch, which includes tasty sides like black eyed peas and mac and cheese. The hand cut fries were our favorite! We split an order and brought one back to the hotel. That's how good they were!

My wife and I shared two plates. Everything was excellent. My tips were perfect: smokey with the right amount of sauce. We both had collard greens which we agreed were simple and very tasty. I also had the jambalaya which had an amazing earthy spice mix. My wife had the mac and cheese, which was good and buttery. Not watered down like you get sometimes. She had the salmon patty which had simple (delicious) flavors and was perfectly cooked. All that said, and our bill was only $21. Had a good chat with the owner/cook as well. We'll be back for certain. Edit: how could I forget the corn bread! So, so good.

The staff was courteous, and the atmosphere was friendly. The food was excellent—just like Grandma used to make—with perfect portion sizes. I highly recommend this place to anyone seeking a taste of homemade Southern cuisine! We took pictures of our meal, and next time we’ll remember to take photos before we start eating!

Great service n food was delicious. Play good blues. Friendly staff. Grandchildren loved the chicken and Mac n cheese.

Somehow the BEST fried okra I've ever had. Service was great, staff was friendly, the restaurant was very clean. My friend and I shared the fried chicken duck and it was SO MUCH FOOD. Amazing chicken, and we have a square of corn bread, which was also phenomenal. I wish we didn't live so far from this place. Very recommended.
