402 Bbq - Green Meadows

Stopped by a few days ago. Put in an order on grubhub 20 mins before arrival and i got there and they still hadn't even started making it. It was late afternoon, nobody else there . Had to sit and wait another 20 mins in my car which I did not want to do as i was driving all day. They don't even let you inside to use the bathroom as it's drive thru only.Really disappointing i was on a road trip and looking to time it so it would be a quick pickup. I try to support local businesses when I can but stuff like this is why people stop going to mom and pop places.If you can't have an order ready by the time the order service commits it to, then don't do online ordering.

They have a hotdog with macaroni and cheese on it! That alone is worthy of 5/5 stars.The service is nice, friendly, and polite.

This place needs more credit and customers you can smell the heavenly bbq smell from the corner, love it. SUPPORT YOUR LOCALS. I ordered a six piece chicken with baked beans and coleslaw, regular or large side for a good price. Regular price is 2-3 and large is 4-5 for sides.

Several years ago (pre-covid 402 BBQ was a regular food vendor at my workplace and I always especially enjoyed the smoked turkey with the Alabama white sauce. A Southern co-worker particularly enjoyed the white sauce because it's not that typical with barbeque fare around here. I recently learned that they have a drive thru permanent location near 84th Center, a part of town I'm in frequently. My spouse who typically doesn't enjoy regular bbq flavor really liked the white sauce so I'm hoping to pay a visit soon. We really need to support our local small businesses like this one that have been really hurt by the past 3 years! From their website it seems like they work with Grubhub, Doordash, and provide catering services in addition to the drive thru and food truck. Food is great, the owner is super nice and I highly recommend. :
