For me that was not only stumbling across the most beautiful of wedding venues , but also meeting the managing director Karina, that will always hold a special place in my heart . There’s incredible people and then there is her . Not only does she go above and beyond, but there is laughs along the way and the support is second to none . It’s a 10 stars out of five for me .
Kantara House was a wild card in the list of wedding venues that we visited, however once inside the beautiful Charlotte Chapel there was absolutely no denying that we had found our venue. It is a truly breathtaking space, and the Chapel's story just added to the beauty. The grounds at Kantara House come to life with fairy lights in the evening, and our guests loved having so many lovely spots to entertain themselves between the ceremony and reception. The service from the team is second to none. We had all the information we needed along the way, Karina's calm support both the day before and on the day were unreal and I will be forever grateful for her, and the serving teams throughout the evening were amazing. Our guests only complaint is that they ate too many canapes (as they were so yummy! before going into the meal. I could not recommend Kantara House more highly. My day was better than I could have imagined and the team here really made that so. Vegetarian options: Kantara House were able to support with all dietary options. Kid-friendliness: There are so many outdoors spaces that made keeping the kids entertained feel really easy. the outdoor space at the reception hall is a great place for kids to run around and have fun throughout the night. Parking: You are able to leave cars parked overnight after the event which is super helpful for guests. Taxis in the area can be challenging however. Wheelchair accessibility: There is a lift to access the chapel where needs be. Dietary restrictions: Kantara House were able to support with all dietary options.
Where do I even begin?! We got married at Kantara House on 25/03/23 and it was the best day of our lives. Karina, Megan, Georgie and the entire team took such good care of us from the moment we had our first site visit (about a year earlier), all the way through every site visit, email, phone call, and tasting. If you’re considering this venue for your event just lock it in right now. It was honestly incredible. The venue itself is breathtaking the Charlotte Chapel is the best indoor ceremony option you could imagine. Looks stunning and smells like a rainforest inside. The reception hall is so timeless and you can really style it however you want! Oh, and the bathrooms are gorgeous, so many of our guests noticed the bathrooms! The staff are wonderful. All night they attended to us, smiling and happy and sharing in our excitement. Nothing seemed a hassle and they made sure we were taken care of all night. Even just tiny touches, like the owner of the venue checking in with my dad to make sure he was calm and ready right before they opened the chapel doors. Now, the food and the drinks! We had share platters as entree and individual meals for mains. Every single dish was DELICIOUS and the portion sizes were more than big enough! Our guests (including a lot of people who really care about food) raved about the food all night! It was so delicious and the staff catered for all of our guests requirements: vego, vegan, DF, GF etc etc. Lastly, the accomodation! Book it! It’s gorgeous and special and so peaceful. I stayed there the night before with my mum and then we both stayed the night of our wedding. 10/10 recommend doing that. Book, book, book!
Absolutely beautiful venue! The staff, the food, the communication was all on point. I couldn’t have asked for a better place to have my wedding. Thank you Karina, Megan for all the organizing and thank you to Guy at the bar for being so wonderful and accommodating to us all night. Wish I could do the night all over again
Was a guest at a wedding here. Lovely chapel and grounds BUT the mosquitos were horrendous. Would have stayed for more photos but we already had several bites and didn’t want anymore. Around the chapel the mozzies were large, thick and numerous. May want to attend to the standing water issues or provide insect repellent.
