I ordered a Chicken Chimichanga and it's the best around town. I usually order a Bowl, which is always a 10/10, however I was VERY satisfied with this selection.
One of the best places in Greenville to try tres leches. Big portion and worth the price. But not as good as you get in
The menu has a wide variety to choose from and very very delicious. The waitress was very nice and great service. The person who seated us had a little attitude when we asked to sit outside. She actually rolled her eyes, but everyone else was very
I recently had the unfortunate experience of dining at Mixcan Restaurant La Rancherita Grill, and I must say it was a complete disappointment. As someone who has spent time in both Mexico and Texas, I consider myself well-acquainted with authentic Mexican cuisine, and this restaurant fell far short of any reasonable expectations.First and foremost, the prices at La Rancherita Grill are exorbitant for the subpar quality of food they serve. I moved to Greenville from Texas with a craving for some good Mexican food, and after reading supposedly positive reviews online, I decided to give this place a try. Little did I know, it would be a decision I would come to regret.Upon arriving, I attempted to order fajitas, a staple in Mexican cuisine, only to be told that they don 't serve fajitas. I was flabbergasted – how can a Mexican restaurant not offer fajitas? It set a bad tone for the meal right from the start. Frustrated, I settled for two beef tacos, which were a joke. These so-called tacos were no bigger than three inches, more like mini tacos, but not in the good way. The meat was riddled with fat and gristle, making them nearly inedible. To add insult to injury, they didn 't come with the traditional sides you 'd expect, like beans, rice, onion salad, cilantro, or hot salsa. This was nothing like the authentic Mexican tacos I was accustomed to.My wife ordered chicken enchiladas, and what arrived at our table was a sad excuse for a Mexican enchilada plate. There were no garnishes like lettuce, cilantro, cheese, or even a hint of gravy. Instead, we got a meager portion of green sauce and three random pieces of plantain banana – something you might find in a Cuban dish, not a Mexican one. My wife attempted to eat it, but it was clear that the dish was subpar at best.To make matters worse, the bill for one plate of enchiladas, two tiny tacos, and no drinks came to over $30. For such an astronomical price, I expected quality, but what we got was a grave disappointment.Having lived in Guadalajara, Mexico, and Texas, where Mexican cuisine is revered and cherished, I have never encountered such an underwhelming dining experience with such a high price tag. This was my first and last visit to Mixcan Restaurant La Rancherita Grill. If you 're in Greenville and looking for authentic Mexican food, do yourself a favor and look elsewhere – you won 't find it here.Parking: Parking space too tight , Hard to park medium size of vehicle.
Andrea gave us excellent service! Very personable, attentive (but not too much) and anticipated our needs. Food was so delicious as always.
