If they are boring or even fighting for talks the lost hour offers a series of card and board games. they offer a live sports cover, and if they are not a sport fan, there are many seats to make sure they can stay away from the wild joy.
Best travel time: 2-for-1 cocktails on Thursday and Friday after 5pm Thursday evening quiz 7PM (tie it in with their cheap cocktails on two etagens with a pool table on the top. they also do something quite decent eating and they can get two meals for under £10. they have a look through their collection of board games or pick up a card deck that is always fun to play with a few rounds of drinks.

The restaurant is much improved after the renovation! We stopped by for some drinks on a Friday night and were impressed. The music was fantastic, and the atmosphere felt open, clean, and comfortable. It was a bit surprising to see bouncers at the door (more common in pubs or clubs), but overall we loved it and would recommend it for those seeking a positive student experience without the emphasis on quantity (the food was also excellent).
