Went to shop here yesterday for the first time in about 5 years. I definately will not be back. I queued outside like everyone else because of covid 19. Before I went I had googled what time they opened and what's classed as a key worker. One of the key workers listed was suipport staff, which I am so I took my ID badge with me. When it was my turn to be allowed into the store I showed the security guard my ID card and explained what I had read online. I asked him for future reference if I was definately classed as a key worker. He said he wasn't sure but to ask a lady inside. He then came in and said this is the lady you need to ask. I politely explained to her as I had to him. I wish I hadn't. That woman spoke to me like I was a liar and was making the whole thing up. Then added well we are working too. Then smirked at her colleague. I can clearly see she is at work obviously, I am very grateful for the shop assistants who in this terrible, worrying time soldier on. I also go out of my way to thank them, because I truly do appreciate them. However I actually gave this woman a mouthful , which is not the kind of person I am usually. This woman was just so unecessarily rude to me I was furious, totally uncalled for. In times like this everyone has their own battles and demons going on without someone speaking to them in such a rude manner. No apology given either. What a disgusting way to speak to a customer. More fool Sainsbury for having someone with such poor customer service skills on their payroll. I wished I had walked out and took my custom elsewhere. An appalled ex customer. The best place in north east Lincolnshire to buy inflatable Flamingos. Fight me if you think I’m wrong.
