The food tasted as if it had come out of a can, the service was so-so, and just the entire atmosphere was disheartening. Our stomachs hurt after the food, I’m not sure how this place has such good reviews. I guess for a mountain town this is good?
Server was awesome, food was okay, chai tea was yummy
The pancakes themselves were average. A bit too chewy instead of melt in your mouth. I did like the toppings (I chose fresh strawberries and whipped cream) and appreciated that they were not up charged. I also appreciated the generous quantity of real maple syrup I got for only a small up charge compared to other restaurants. The lattes were fine. A bit watery but they were served in big mugs which we appreciated. We were disappointed by the cinnamon roll. I found the dough/bread to be dry and not warm. The frosting was warm and plentiful but you could taste some of the granulated sugar…maybe needs to be blended more? Service was pretty good good for a pricey tourist town that has a hard time retaining workers.
Located in the heart of Steamboat Springs (right off of Lincoln Ave. sits Winona’s Restaurant and Bakery! Winona’s is a smallish shop with outside seating that’s been serving up breakfast and lunch favorites for close to 40 years. If you’re with a group make sure to get the cinnamon roll with fruit toppings!
I need a hike after that delicious cinnamon roll! We shared with 4 people. Cute restaurant and very friendly staff. Loved our waitress. Good food!! I was going to get a picture of the cinnamon roll but my mom couldn’t wait and dived right in!!! Lol
