Lockbox - gton-Fayette

We really enjoyed the food at Lockbox. Everything we tried was delicious. They were out of one menu item, which was disappointing. Also, because there was a concert in town that night, we had to place our entire order at one time vs. appetizers separate from entrees even though the food came out in the appropriate order, that was confusing. We wished the menu had a little more detail to it. The staff were attentive I just found the vibe of the restaurant to be a little confusion as far as setting the tone/mood for the experience from the very beginning. I wish it had been a little more upbeat. I did appreciate that the noise level in the restaurant was quiet and we could have a conversation among the table. Overall, a very great experience.

Our reservation was originally for a party of six, but we showed up with seven guests. The staff handled the change smoothly and were incredibly attentive, professional, and friendly. We were really impressed by the unique and flavorful appetizers, as well as our main courses. The atmosphere was fantastic. It was our first time at the restaurant, and both our family from Santa Monica and we were highly impressed. Thank you for a wonderful time.

Creative cocktails, great farm to table menu. The tasting board is terrific, such a diverse shareable item. Appetizers are hardy enough that you might forego an entree so add a salad or the soup if that's the case. Desserts are another good item to share. Service is good, not overbearing or fussy. Very enjoyable experience

The place itself was decorated nicely. Lovely art on the walls The servers and wait staff did not match the nice decor. Very sloppy dress and didn't address patrons respectfully. The food was comparable to a Bob Evans rather than a nice restaurant brunch. They also served salads with their breakfast items which was really odd and also didn't taste good. The ****** Mary was watery and served in a very small narrow glass. So many great restaurants in Lexington for brunch with a wider variety, better quality food, and fantastic drinks means we will probably not return here.

Food was delicious, great atmosphere. Service was extremely slow. Our appetizers came relatively fast, but after that our entrees (not kidding) took an hour to deliver. After I inquired 2x, they finally arrived with no explanation why. I understand things happen, but be honest and let us know what's going on. Lockbox comped our entrees which was a nice gesture.
