The Daily Grind Cafe - Halifax

Great place, and amazing service from Osha who is welcoming and service with a smile. I took my son for breakfast over the weekend because it was so great but Osha was off duty and the service was appalling, we were told we can’t get cutlery with our food because they are out, its a pity I had paid already else I would have told them my card was out! We will only go during the week for great service and food now!

Disappointing experience this morning. They apparently were short on kitchen staff and our breakfast order took forever. An indifferent breakfast later we realized that this Grind is not worth repeating! It’s a popular restaurant though and hopefully our experience today was an exception!

MUST have their bagel breakfast sandwich. So delicious. seriously amazing. The smoothie bowl and coffee were just ok. The patio looks onto the ocean and a parking lot.

This food was so disgusting we couldn’t eat it. The avocado bacon grilled cheese was soggy, made on cheap wonder bread, with fake avocado, pieces of bacon fat (very little bacon) and cheese. It was so unappealing it made me and my sister nauseous. The side salad is basically lettuce with a few small cubes of tomato and lettuce. Super disappointing.

The hot chocolate that I got was delightful, the person who took our order was nice. We placed our order at 10:27 and I requested a refund at 11:22. At no time were we checked on or brought anything other than the hot chocolate I received upon ordering. They were seemingly pretty busy but seeing other food, coffee, and smoothies coming out besides our own doesn't sit well. We ordered a hot chocolate, berry smoothie, Popeyes dish, and the classic. Kindly asked for a refund due to the 50 minute wait. Hope that isn't the norm around here. If we ever visit Hallifax again we won't be coming here for breakfast.
