Due to the fact that Meyer Lanskys has become my Hamburg favorite cocktail bar on the goose market, St. Paul Killi (see photos). He was once invented at the first Hamburger Meyer Lansky at Pinnasberg, where the “Christiansen – Fine Drinks Cocktails” are now living. The goose market version tastes best for me. The home recipe offers six varieties of rum, apricot brandy, grenadin, lemon, lime, orange, maracuja, where the fruit juice content is rather homeopathic. Number one of my personal cocktail tops! The killer is one of the cocktails that cost 5.70 euros during the Happy Hour (daily until 8:00). Exceptions are only some particularly violent balls, such as Clockwork Orange. The rich mix of rum, gin, vodka, Tequila, Campari, Martini, Cointreau, Apricot Brandy, Orange-Bitter, Grenadine, Lemon, Lime Juice, Maracuja, Orange is correspondingly spatey, but still delicious. Or, as one of the mixers once said: “Since half the bar is in it, we are surprised how balanced the taste is.” I usually focus on rum cocktails as well as sporadic Singapore Slings and Margaritas, where Meyer Lansky's 100% meets my taste. Cocktail companions who have other favorites were always happy. The bar at the Gänsemarkt also scores for me because it plays in the interior mostly very appealing 80s radio and disco music and also serves free Nibbles during the Happy Hour. Another advantage is the beautiful and top-fitted staff of the bar. This is also true for my time as a regular guest: a friend who had reordered Meyer Lansky's cocktail cry for years at her first visit, brought the same waiter by three months later, with her next time a skewer with cocktail rings unquestioned. She must have left a lasting impression. I made a lot of trouble for a while. The first St. Pauli Killer is usually a short time after I arrived at the table without having to order it. Whether this is a pre- or downside for you, you have to decide: Meyer Lansky is a smoker business. In summer this is less annoying for non-smokers, you can sit outside. The next week, the fuller she gets in Meyer Lanskys. Especially on Thursday the seats at tables and bar are already occupied early (between 17.30 and 6:00), a pre-order is recommended for safety. It should be clear that Meyer Lanskys can be loud and loud. For a lasy date the shop is of approx. Wednesday is therefore less suitable.

You know that the man behind the vault is a professional. But if I were to judge, there would be a better overall assessment. In the circumstances, however, it must be mentioned that you have to get in, you have to go down a staircase. Before it's done, it can happen that you have some patience. The space as such is quite small when I compare with that from my own city. In winter there would have been no possibility for us, but there were still those who were stubborn who did that! Outside of Hamburg it would hardly have been possible, but with Mayer Lanskys you can smoke. If you don't do it, you better not wear favorite clothes for the reason you can imagine! Luckily there was no one in our immediate surroundings who went after this “Laster”. But that can look different. But there's a disadvantage that we didn't like it. I'd like to have a place on a table with a bank. Even if this had been free, we were also rejected on several questions. But what makes us so speechless that despite this one remained so all night. As a justification it was said that even if it is not visible to the outside, such a person remains reserved for groups! We were placed on the counter instead. The stools do not look bad, but they are less suitable for a long stay! The fact that Mayer Lanskys is very popular shows that even on every weekday it was quite full. It is always recommended to reserve in advance! As I could see in the corresponding notebook itself, this is done by the regulars for some time in advance! For us the question is not whether we will come another time, but at most if! Our recommendation is safe!
