The phone was always on and I had to ask four times when I could pay. In addition, the music didn't like it. It was a few pops, then electric. All in all disappointing.
Great place for a beautiful evening with friends or family. I was here two days ago when the weather played. we weren't sure we were in the restaurant or still here. at the end, we decided to be happy to zala. the presentation of the restaurant is very good. they are kindly received at the entrance. through the many windows at the entrance area, the restaurant is flooded with light. the waiter was very attentive and very sympathetic. something like this is rewarded with good drink!; eating was very tasty and brought to the point. Of course, it is not so cheap, but what is offered. we will come back!
My boyfriend and me went here recently for lunch to try their buffet. It's priced at €6,90 per person which is reasonable for Indian. The choice was good, soup or papadams for starters and then various curries (beef, chicken, vegetarian) for mains. All seemed fresh and tasted good. We had some diet coke with it sadly they only hat 0.2 l glasses. We were surprised to learn when paying, that each glass was actually €2,50!! Wow what a price for a small glass of coke! Overall, it is a good place for lunch around Rothenbaum. Be aware of the prices of the drinks and you'll enjoy your lunch even more!
Well its close location to the U train station Hallerstrasse was very good as the weather last night was VERY rainy. The place its self is small but very nice and cosy inside. The service was very good, and the food was pretty nice, however it did miss a lot of the expected food normally associated with a typical English, Indian restaurant. However still a pleasant evening.
We were looking for an Indian restaurant as we were in the mood. I came on Qype to read the reviews and we decided to check out Zala as it was in an area we wanted to go to and it seemed quite good. Well, it's basically average. Without going into all the details which are listed quite well above, everything is simply default. It's your typical Indian restaurant and it has everything you'd expect. At the same time, the decor isn't examplary. The service is OK. The atmosphere is good. The food is OK (although I have to add this was probably the weakest linknot much flavor, not very creative, and just basic). Yet somehow nothing really stands out. Upon leaving we said to each other that was good. What followed was well, good, but I wouldn't necessarily rush to come back. I am sure you know this feeling. You go expecting something and it simply is delivered without getting you excited about it. I really can't say that the restaurant is not worth trying out. On a positive note, the prices are very fair, the lassis were very good and the service left nothing to complain about. The food came quickly and we had a nice dinner. I am sure one can find better and I'll keep looking but this Indian option won't be at the top of my list the next time I am looking for an Indian food fix.
