Sarita's Grill Cantina - Hammond

When our son first started school at Southeastern we tried several different Mexican restaurants when we would visit, and always left disappointed until we found Sarita's. The good is consistently very good, large portions, and friendly servers. Best we've found in Hammond.

Best Mexican In Hammond Area!. Stopped in for an early lunch this past Saturday after hearing it was a good place for Mexican. Girlfriend and I ordered and split the steak/chicken fajitas and Mexican pizza. Fajitas were great, but the Mexican pizza was, by far, the best I've ever had from any previous Mexican restaurant in my entire life. Perfect combination of meat and cheese with plenty of both and it's a fairly large sized order. Highly recommend you try it on your next visit. Service was polite and courteous and the environment was friendly and extremely clean. Try Saritas and I believe you will not be disappointed.

7 15 2018 back again and perfect... Lily got us plenty of salsa and chips, for my son who is addicted. And the bartender must be back... because Pina Coladas and beer was flowing. Officially our new favorite Tex Mex place!<br/ <br/ 7 8 2018 Can 't believe it took us this long to return! Food was fantastic so I upped their rating since they provided exactly what I expected, minus a few items. The bartender was on vacation, so no frozen drinks, some of the beer taps were out... so we had soft drinks. Other than refilling them into the same cups, everything else was incredible. We both had the combination fajitas. The chicken, shrimp and especially the steak was top quality and taste. The side order of rice needs a little work as you may not recognize it as Spanish rice. Our waiter did a good job keeping our chips and amsslse filled. It 's a little out of the way, but with the trip. With recent issues at all our regular Tex Mex spots... this may be our new favorite!<br/ <br/ 9 19 2014 Great friendly service!. Excellent portions and good quality fajitas. Overall clean dining area with a nice atmosphere. Our son didn 't like the child 's hamburger... but then it is a Mexican restaurant afterall! We 'll definitely be back. OMG, MY FAVORITE PLACE TO DINE! Their entrees are offered a la carte or with beans and rice, for a way better price. The bar has A frozen margarita machine and about 10 flavors to choose from. The service is always great and the never get anything wrong. Oh, and they have bean dip in addition to salsa placed on the table to chew on before your meal arrives. You must try this one.

From being greeted at the door by the manager/owner, to the friendly attentive waitress and delicious food a great experience. Food was delicious and large portions.
