The 401 Tavern - Hampton

We have gone there several times and liked it my wife always gets the California wrap .we went there on sat and she ordered one after a long wait it came out and when my wife took a bite it was very spicy when she asked the waitress about it she said they put jalapenos in th quac .but never had that before she hated spice. She had to wait for a different sandwich the manger did not care we will not be back

Our first, but not our last, wonderful lunch today, served by our great waiter Anthony. The clam chowder was excellent and the baked haddock sandwich slaw was yummy. We just loved the atmosphere with the fabulous old wood floors, walls, ceilings and wonderful old b/w pictures on the walls. This is such a great New England style restaurant/ tavern with all its character ambiance. The staff was super friendly and welcoming , the beer, wine, martini selection was great and the food was delicious with plenty of options to choose from. What more could you ask for?! Definelty now one of our favorites in the area highly recommend.

Warm and cozy atmosphere. Servers are fun and so helpful. Food is really good!

We went on a Wednesday night and had an awful experience. Our server was obviously high. He forgot our order and we waited just under a hour for a salad and lettuce wrap tacos. That were cold and definitely had been sitting out.
