Chocolaterie Stam - Hannibal

Such an under advertised GEM in Hannibal, Missouri! They offer handmade chocolates and truffles, popcorn, gelato, and coffee. The gelato and chocolates that we purchased were amazing! This chocolate shop has a professional, inviting, and uniqueatmosphere.

The service is relatively kind but not sufficient enough. Staff needs more training and attention. Not enough knowledge of product or consistency in distribution?gelato, drinks, etc. If you ask any question about the product, you?ll most likely get an?Idk? or bare minimum information depending on the shift. And this is with staff that has been there for months or even years.Management should take more enthusiasm in education and instilling confidence. Staff seems helpless sometimes when minoradversity arises. Otherwise, the quality of product is great. Gelato would ideally be made with more topping. They always seemto scoop us the bottom only. Only a lucky few get toppings unless you specifically ask for it! This is what I mean byconsistency in distribution. Also, the seating in the new location is much worse than the old. Clean shop though.

It was nice. I thought that it would be a bit fancier than what it was, though. A little on the pricier side for casual shoppers, but I think that their chocolate is worth it. I tried their hot vanilla chai tea and it was not the greatest. It wasluke warm I think because there was so much milk in it, but I?m not for sure. It tasted great though! If it wasn?t roomtemperature, then it would have been quite delightful. All-in-all, I enjoyed my time there. There is a lot to look at and thebuilding is very nice on the inside and on the outside. I think that I would recommend this to people who are chocolate lovers,but for casual shoppers like me, I?m not sure that it is altogether worth the trip.

We were looking for ice on the fourth week of July. We found something better! Every taste was fabulous. The texture is amazing, ultra smooth and creamy, and the aromas are rich, but not excessive. I'm known to everyone as a chocoholic. The chocolates here are beautiful and creative. I could have given them a fortune. But honestly, after I had a medium gelato, I had no wish for chocolate. The Gelato is so good.

I'll go every chance. The melt in the mouth chocolates make really great gifts, and the Gelato bring back memories of past visits in Italy! And to think we have it here in our own backyard.
