Only disappointment was that they did not serve their signature mini corn bread sticks. We grew up here and that was a main stay and something that made them unique. Had the traditional tomatoes celery soup that is a fav. I bought the cookbook years ago so I could make it home. The lemon? Shaker Pier is unique Shakertown. The atmosphere is top notch with the beautiful nostalgic Christmas decorations. Nice photo-opps. The twin spiral stairs are a sight. Take a tour and learn the shakers. In the summer months combine this visit was a paddle boat ride down the Kentucky River.
A beautiful building that has a restaurant, suites, gift shops. You need a reservation and if 15 minutes late they will give your table away. The food was fresh and delicious. The bread pudding had a strong Bourbon taste. The staff was friendly, knowledgeable and attentive.
We enjoy this restaurant every time we visit. The service is impeccable. Staff are knowledgeable and make big proposals. We enjoyed the gluten-free menu and found the kitchen more than taking food allergies. Also liked the gift shop here. Well curated local artists and thoughtful gifts. We loved to talk to the gift shop employee. Every single employee we met was hospitable and helpful. We felt that the food was a good value for the price, quality of each product excellent and parts were on the medium-sized side. We can't wait to come back.
The food was excellent and the service was great. You bring Kraut and Maisbrot to the table to begin your meal, which I highly recommend. All food is very good and they have a children's menu. Would recommend to request a reservation as they can fill out quickly or make reservations in the registration building.
We weren't overly impressed by our lunch here. We got the peach salad which was supposed to come with grilled peaches, however, they weren't grilled and pretty underripe. It was also a pretty small amount of salad for $16. It is worth stopping in for the shaker lemon pie though! That was delicious and served warm.
