Oceans Eleven - Hastings

I've never had any problems with this fish and chip shop and have been using it for years. With new owners it has a fresh lick of paint and the Oriental statue has disappeared. Top quality fish and chips from one of the area's renowned fryers.

Having used this takeaway for some years, the different owners have put their stamp upon it. A few years ago it was exceptional, then awful, but subsequently and now it has become hit and miss between great and awful. I’ve tried it recently in the hope of some consistency but I shan’t be using it any more after the last disappointing meal.

Be prepared for a long wait..... Went in for a regular portion of chips and was still waiting 25 minutes later ! Totally unreasonable these days.

I have not had a bad portion of Chips or any other food from here that hasn’t been excellent and definitely not any skinny chips. The chips appear to all be hand cut and are all cooked fresh to order and the staff cannot be any friendlier the moment you enter the shop. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend this Fish Chip shop as probably the best in the area/the town. Recommended. Enjoy.

This place has gone down hill since the new owners took over. The chips have been changed to thin ones and they are soggy every time. Also they always seem to be lots of little ends. The shop is nowhere near as clean as it used to and the staff behind the counter don’t look clean or professional. It was the best fish and chips shop in the area but now it’s the worst. I’ve been a long time customer but won’t be back.
