Hay Point Hotel Motel

I am excited to say that the food at this restaurant is like traditional pub fare with reasonable prices and generous portions. They have children's meals for around $9 which even include ice cream. The adult dishes are also well-priced and come in generous servings. The staff at the bar are extremely friendly. Additionally, there is a grassy area where children can play with balls provided by the restaurant. Overall, it is a very pleasant spot for a lunch outing with family and friends.

We were disappointed with our experience at the restaurant despite the nice view from the outdoor tables. The Rindburger we ordered had a burnt Pattie on both sides and was dry and crumbly inside. When we requested a replacement burger without burning, they asked if it was okay to just replace the Pattie. We requested a completely new burger instead. Unfortunately, the burger returned with the same issues. Another couple at the restaurant mentioned that their barramundi was dry and the beef in the Thai beef salad was overcooked. It seems like there may be some issues with the food quality at this restaurant.

Wow! This restaurant has really improved. I recently went with some friends and decided to give it another try. We were pleased to see new management, friendly service, a new menu, and a new chef. We were pleasantly surprised by the quality and portion size of our meals,... they were very delicious. We tried the Squid salad, which was very satisfying, the Thai beef salad was also very filling, and the fisherman's basket was excellent. They also have a special board and a functioning café, as well as a dessert refrigerator. We will definitely be returning. Thank you!

I told everyone who would listen to the fact that the Hay Pt Bistro was the best I had eaten, but things have changed considerably since the pub changed. We decided to go to dinner on Father's Day and since we booked a table in the...past to make sure we get a place. This proved to be a waste of time, because if we were there, there were no records of a booking and we could choose any table we wanted. In the past, the bistro menu was a challenge to choose a meal from all available options. The menu is now just a few elements from the grill or the deep frit and completely bland. Earlier you can choose a wine from a small wine list. This visit, when I asked to see it, would you think I would speak in tongues. It was just an example of an employee with little idea of what their role was. We ordered two steaks, a bump and a rib fillet both to be rare. We have two rib fillets both good. The perfect way to ruin a good steak, overtake it. There were no options for a desert. In the past there was a refrigerator with a beautiful selection of desert ideas. It's still there, but it was empty and the special board was wiped clean. In the past, we would drink our wine, as the locals have a good night out. Not this time. We couldn't wait to get away from this morbid atmosphere and be brutally honest, even if we live around the corner, we won't come back soon.
