The Argonne House - Charlevoix

The online menu stated bar b q ribs dinner. When my husband Went to order in person (bad rule) they said ribs are never on the menu. He wanted ribs, but had to settle on a hamburger as I was waiting for a steamed shrimp dinner. If this order was taken by phone, this could have been avoided. (Choosing another eatery at that time. Ribs were definitely on the menu. The bread was stale.it was always soft and delicious. Last time for us unless we eat outside. The persons in the carry out dept did not explainethe procedure to pick up the meals. Rude and assumed my husband knew their rules. In the past we had dining room service that were friendly and professional. Very good food if you eat there. Carry out was a hassle and disappointed.

I’ve been coming to this place for over 40 years and it does not disappoint. Food is always amazing. Definitely get the shrimp and enjoy the yellow sauce for dipping.

I ordered pizza here once and it was AMAZING! But lately we have been trying to order again but they do not allow pickups for some reason. We decided to get dressed up and go to the restaurant to sit down and it was a 20 person wait even for the bar. Plenty of open seats, no seating outside. The person we talked to had a bad attitude as well. I wont bother trying to go back since they obviously do not want my business.

The Argonne House has a long standing history in the Charlevoix for excellent surf Turf but especially known for their shrimp dinners. I just had their mussels. The sauce along with andoille sausage and mussels plus some choice boiled shrimp leaves you filled and happy. Check into making reservations because they are usually packed throughout the week during summers.

Salmon with fettuccine was delicious. Serving and staff are always kind—they setup a heater for us outside because we were cold. And the environment is always nice.
