It was love at first sight. On a cloudy October day I entered this wonderful pension. In a shady old house in the middle of Hettstedt I should now live in the week to work in the city. I opened the door of dark brown wood. Two men sat at the counter in polo shirts, sunk in meditative view on half filled beer glasses. An older one, a younger one, both looked like they deserved their buns in contrast to me with physical work. I was embarrassed, I'd be very stupid at the desk sitting the next days, and that for a few months. Everywhere dark wood, flowers, carpet, artistically folded napkins.. And: a real 80 discoball! It was fantastic. A round young woman cordially greeted me, it smelled delicious to roast potatoes and the famous carvings that exist here among others, cooked with fresh salad and much love. The room was bright and friendly, simple, but cozy. Shower on the corridor, very clean wonderfully warm. A mineral water and a piece of chocolate served me in the first night. The next morning, however, the cripple was: several varieties of cheese, sausage, cold roasts, egg. A small fine buffet, all nicely decorated and well selected. There are still real farms here. The coffee rose dead without tormenting the stomach. Delicious cherry juice too. But what was that in the corner of the buffet? No, it is possible: here you can still talk to the little sister of the Mettigel in a wild alley: METALS! It tasted heavenly and the Monteures who had breakfast with me as the only one before sunrise were equally enthusiastic! Monteure and people in shrill-colored functional clothing with trekking bikes on the Jakobsweg (yes, this is a pilgrim hostel, standing in the window! were the predominant part of the guests in this cozy retroambient, in the afternoon you can meet here for coffee and cakes, besides schnitzel and sulze you can also enjoy other dishes from classical German cuisine. The hospitality and cordiality of the hostesses is simply stunning, both Mansfelder originals! A warning to all Prenzlauer Berger and other hips: Here it is neither vegan nor Prenzlauer Berg. There are no pseudo-living room army from trendy cafes. It's real here. Prenzlaure Mountain is far away, and this is also good!!!! Thank you. And always happy!
