Kiran Palace - Hicksville

Eating was great except the hair in the rice pudding. I know it can even happen at the best place, but it's still something they don't want to see.

The service was great, the waiter was very corteous and helped us to decide various decisions in the menu and describe, I highly recommend this place, my friends were very impressed by the delicious decisions and the pleasant service.

Excellent food and service! I visited with my husband for the first time on Saturday evening, he loves Indian food and we were so happy we discovered it! It's located in a strip mall in Hicksville. The place was casual, quaint and the lady I believe is the owner, is very friendly and sweet, as well attentive. The food was delicious! We started with the veggie appetizer platter which is an assortment of fritters, samosa, aloo tikki and paneer pakora, vegetable pakora. We also ordered the Rice Polao which is Basmati rice cooked with peas and mild spices and Garlic Naan Bread layered with garlic, sooo delicious. For the main course I ordered the Shrimp Masala which was perfect and not too spicy as I requested and my Hubby had Navratan Korma which is a lovely dish of Mixed vegetables cooked with mild curry cashew nut sauce. All were terrific. The best part was the delicious rice pudding dessert. We can't wait to go back and try the rest of the menu!

The food was really good overall, but there was a hair in the rice pudding. I understand that these things can happen even at the top restaurants, but it's still something you hope to avoid.
