Rock Tavern - High Peak

Great little pub, super friendly, great atmosphere, always made to feel very welcome. Locals can get a bit rowdy but all in good fun. Shame it’s a Robinson’s pub, sick to death of the boring and bland beer. Great little boozer though

Popped in after doing the millennium walk. It’s a clean and friendly little pub in the community, they don’t serve food though. Just bar snacks and drinks

We heard about this place while staying in New Mills and decided to go and have a quiet drink there before dinner. Set back away from the main road this lovely pub is very quiet and relaxed with the sound of the river in the gorge below acting as ideal natural background music. The bar staff were really friendly and there was a good selection of beer on offer. Great place to chill out for a while.

A great find after a beautiful walk from Hayfield to New Mills. We were looking for a dog and people friendly pub with a beer garden and that's what we got. Drinks of good quality, a really relaxed atmosphere, friendly staff and a great pub for dogs. Would highly recommend if you're looking for a relaxing couple of drinks and a warm welcome.

My husband and I had arranged to meet here with a long-lost cousin of his who we had traced and contacted through an ancestry website. The pub is tucked away, and you wouldn’t just happen to find it.. but it’s well worth finding! We’d never been to the Rock Tavern before, but on entering we were greeted by the bar staff like old friends! Such a warm and friendly welcome to total strangers... it was lovely and says a lot about the landlord and his staff.. The interior was well furnished, bright and pleasant, and the Robinsons’ bitter, was, as my husband testified to me later, extremely well kept... a bright clear golden pint and “Robbies” at its best. This is a very well run pub, at the heart of the New Mills Community, and whenever we are in the area again, we will certainly call in. Note for the ladies.... the loos are immaculate and spotlessly clean with nice liquid soap and hand cream!
