The lady said they fled Pommes. We went ahead and ordered the plate anyway, although it was calculated at full price. Just today we came to visit the new food carts in Hillsboro, so we first checked with the same lady to make sure she had everything in the menu. She was nervous, but she confirmed. We ordered a record and when we ordered the other two, she said she had only enough frits for a record and that we had to wait for the rest about 20 minutes. Second time we cannot eat fries; worth mentioning, we were the only ones in the food cart area. We order and had to repeat the order twice as much as I had ordered an additional Empanada instead of waiting. When we all ordered, the lady asked if we had cash if she had to fix something in the order. We told her we had only our cards and that? We had to repeat the order for a third and fourth time because it assumed that we would pay with cash and delete the input in the machine. I was already annoyed because it was the second time that we were trying to enjoy a full meal from this place, but they don't have everything they offer to fulfill the demand; they try to pay us with a method that is not available to us at the moment, and on all, we had to go over the order several times, and the lady even taught me not to annoy how she tries to take me. I don't know what she does, but regardless of how many people appear, they should offer the complete menu and have enough for everyone. In addition, the record is advertised by two empanades, fries and an Alfajor, which we never saw when we came home, and were still full price for everything. It would be a much better experience if the quality of the food fits as customers tend. Very disappointed.
I loved eating in Abuela Chona in the BG food cartel. But the last few times I left were closed. They were gone last weekend! I was hearty that I couldn't share this wonderful place with my partner. Then we nailed it and discovered that they are just a block from the Grand Lodge and we were on the way for a concert so we stopped time for Empanadas and they were even better than I remember! I won't wait until my next concert goes for 40 minutes. See you soon Abuela Chona!
Tony and Amy, owners and chefs of Abuela Chona, are wonderful people with a fabulous product! Our whole family loves the taste and variety and the chimichurri adds great taste. We were sad when they moved from Beaverton to Forest Grove, but they sent FROZEN BAKER's DOZEN! They also offer free delivery for the 4. July weekend, something I hope for for their purposes, is a unique offer. For us, WELL WORTH is the journey from Lake Oswego to get their frozen empanadas. Instructions on furnace heat are perfect, and we pick up several dozens at a time, such a trip for 3 4 meals. And they have LISTEN to their customers. Your online frozen order is new. Tony replied personally in email to my order I mentioned need chimichurri, which was not on the website. In a HOUR, he added the plus other options. IMPRESSIVE!
My husband I started with 1 chorizo empanada, just to try it, we went back for 6 more, including the spinach filled. Oh, so delicious! Beautiful crust tasteful fillings!
Very sweet service, and well spiced empanadas. Don?t miss out on the dessert!
