Dennis is the only person who works, and he will make food for you, not only mass food like most restaurants, especially in Honolulu. I can tell you from the beginning that he doesn't jump when you ask for something, nor will he give you a fake personality. He's honest and blunt. His business has been in university for many years and he is still strong. Support the local business and visit the coffee line for high quality breakfast and lunch food that is unmatched as well as what I would call a unique service. Aloha
If you want thrills and hairs, this is not the place for you. If you want great food and coffee in a cozy and non-conventional environment when you need to visit this place. Coffee Line is not a chain restaurant so you 't get the bells and whistles you can do in the tourist places in waikiki (like a smile and a less than sincere as you do? . As a disclaimer: If you are not used to insult unconventional restaurants not from its unconventional abhorrence. Just tell the man what you want and he'll do it. So easy. Great food! I definitely recommend it!
The first time to visit Coffeeline today. I live within 5 minutes, but found this place. At first I thought I entered the wrong building because of the facility. That's not meant to be rude, I just thought I was in an indoor rally sale. The coffee smell kept me informed. I ordered a cup of coffee and let me tell you... it was the best I had on Oahu in my two years. Do not hang on to the unconventionality of this place (I actually loved it). Coffee is what counts!! The gentleman behind the counter was a little inconspicuous, as others mentioned, but what? He's doing a WONDERFUL cup of joke, I'll return.
This is your one stop shop for good coffee, interesting music and a wealth of literature. The place is eclectic decorated and has a quiet, home atmosphere. Not to mention that Dennis has a wealth of interesting things to talk and is a master of brewing a delicious stout cup of coffee. I'll go there as much as possible.
Decor is kitsch and may turn some off, but the owner knows his coffee beans and tea blends well. Prices are very good compared to other places on campus, and the food was tasty, hearty serving sizes, and not expensive. With a nice outside atmosphere for seating, it is usually quiet and makes for a good place to study over lunch.
