Sushi By The Heights - Houston

Overall, it was a pretty good experience. The sushi rice had a strong vinegar flavor that was a bit overpowering. They start you off with a lighter soy sauce at the table, but I recommend asking for the house-made soy sauce instead – it's much better and helps tone down the flavor. Alternatively, you could just go for the sashimi. The presentation of the dishes was excellent, and the cocktails were fantastic!

The sushi here is average at best. There's nothing particularly special about it. It took an excessively long time for the nigiri orders to arrive. Will I return? There are far better sushi options in H-Town, with higher quality fish and much superior service.

The entire staff was rude and impatient, except for the busboy, who was the only respectful and polite member we interacted with, which was a nice change. I’ve had much better sushi for less money elsewhere. The appetizers were the highlight of the meal. On two occasions, our table went 15 to 20 minutes without our server checking in on us. In the last half hour, my water glass was empty, and the last bottle of wine I ordered never arrived. I won’t be returning; the experience was quite disappointing. The place had potential, but it fell short.

Sushi was amazing, nigiri tuna very fresh and they have a lot of option to choose. chef comes and ensures everything is in order. he also shows her hidden sushi room behind the bookcase. it's really cool. the stairs very attentive and friendly. drink great too. tokio mule is really refreshing. it was amazing overall. I'm back in a definitiw.

Service was horrible. Food was worse. Would not recommend. Too many other incredible options nearby.
