Got home there was 1 tiny salsa for the taquitos. Went back for more salsa and she said Let me tell you something . She went on to say that it costs her money to give sides and that the burritos already had salsa in them. They did not have salsa and that 's actually besides the point. She indicated she would do ME the favor and give me extra salsa. No thank you! I walked away with no salsa and used what i had in my fridge after she flipped up the outdoor window screen saying that the menu is very clear. Incredibly rude....... I wish I would have read the review from Michele and others before ordering. Those of you who have decent reviews? 3-5 Stars? Are you kidding me? I 'm sorry you have not experienced delicious Authentic Mexican Food, try Trejo 's on Beach Blvd. For the folks that are giving generous reviews (owners)? Just stop. The food is not good and the price is ridiculous.....Close down already and someone bring back Bun Burger....
This is one of my favorite places to eat, i've tried many many different places and this is by far my favorite. The food is amazing and the owner Maria is super nice, personable and friendly, she does a great job. Like i've said i have tried many different Mexican places and every time i compare it to La Bonanza....the salsa is incredible (one of my favorite salsas i've had) not to mention the quality and taste of the other ingredients. Needless to say please do yourself a favor and try her awesome food!
Delicious food and great customer service. I believe in quality over quantity and La Bonanza definitely does deliver very good good.
I believe the owner is the one who cooks, meaning 1 person for order/payment/cook so you will wait about 20-30min for your food... that 's if it 's only you making an order because when we got here... no soul but ours She 's not very friendly, needs to make you feel more welcomed because I even told her to give me a minute because it was our first time here and menu is small and we had our doubts! We decided to give it a chance and while waiting in the car?! I tell my husband I hope food is good! Oks so we got our food: supreme nachos and carne asada chimichanga . Not bad, I mean it 's edible!! Guacamole is fresh and lots of it !!! That 's the best part, the nacho chips are so crunchy!! Real fresh!! Lots and lots of beans on my nachos, I wish it was carne asada instead of hamburger meat! You don 't need salsa because the jalapeños are just spicy enough I like this place after being hungover lol
Delicious homemade Mexican cuisine. I love this place and the owner, Mariah, is wonderful. My boyfriend and I came down from Fresno for a concert and wanted some SoCal Mexican food before the show, and this place happened to be near our AirBNB. What a gem! Mariah cares a lot about her business and made sure to tell us what sets La Bonanza apart; the food is made fresh for every order, and she cares about her customers' satisfaction. I ordered the carne asada tacos and my boyfriend had the carne asada burrito, and the food and service was so good that we had to came back the next morning for some truly awesome chorizo breakfast burritos. She also had fresh guava agua fresca, from her own tree! It was sweet and refreshing, and goes perfectly with her food. The salsa IS spicy, of course (and delicious), so if you're not into spice just let Mariah know and she will accommodate you. We'll definitely be back next time we're down south!
