Gonzalez Mexican American - Idaho

We stopped here on a road trip. The chips with refried beans and salsa are quite good. We got the fish tacos and the enchiladas. The fish tacos were amazing! Great flavor. The enchiladas were a little disappointing. Don't expect to get your food very fast. It's understandable since they just have one cook, and it was busy. But it did take a while.

We waited an hour and a half for two plates of food. People that walked in 30 minutes after us got their food before we did. And people at the table next to us also waited as long as we did and didn’t get two of their plates… maybe it was a bad day for them but no food is worth waiting that long.

3.5 total rating Food 5 Soooo delicious! Cooked to perfection and the meats were tender. Great unique flavors! We were there on a Saturday summer night an hour before closing and it was busy! So of course we didn't expect or receive fast service. Buyer beware: the menu had no prices on it and we didn't ask because we'd been here before and knew that they were reasonable, especially for the portion size. *However, our bill was MUCH HIGHER than we expected! This is the main reason for not giving a higher rating. Saving grace: the portions are HUGE!!! Ask for a to go box or share a plate or both! We 3 adult women shared 2 orders and had enough for a all 3 to enjoy a large lunch the next day :

We were going to eat here but we had a large group of 10 and there wasn't enough seating for all of us. The dining area is very small. I would guess about maybe 25-30 maximum could eat there. I can't review the food since we didn't stay.

The food was okay, but the service was terrible. I was told it would be a 15 minute wait for my takeout order and it took 40 minutes. Instead of simply apologizing for the wait, I was told it hadn't been that long, there was only one cook, and if I was unhappy with the service not to come back. I won't be coming back, but I hope they will use this feedback to improve. Reasonable timing estimates and simple apologies go a long way to good service.
