Village Gourmet Cafe - Illinois

This is a ‘diamond in the rough’ place. Food is top notch. Salads are fresh. Sandwiches made while you wait. They even have meals to go. Kinda like home made fresh TV dinners. I always do take out but they have a small seating area if you want to hang out. It feels hidden off the beaten path.

I love this place for a quick lunch in their shop and love to bring home their fresh, healthy and delicious salads for lunches during the week.

Seriously great food and very friendly staff, try them out, you will not be disappointed!

Wendy is amazing! Made a vegan vegetable lasagna that was the fist food to go. Sadly no leftovers from our gathering, which says a lot about how delicious Village Gourmet's food is: . Chicken wellington was beautiful and tastey, chicken piccata was absolutely delightful. Would highly recommend
