The food/pastry menu is very limited. Now I am not a fan of flavored lattes as they always seem too sweet and overpower the espresso. The barista explained that Common House makes its own syrup and described the syrup for the Almond Joy latte. OMG, it was amazing. Not too sweet, and flavorful and did not disappoint. Even served with artwork on the foam. Mr. G. had a pour-over. The seating was comfortable. the tables at a good height to relax and talk or work. There was a steady stream of people coming in for most excellent coffee. Clean and spacious gender-neutral restroom. Lots of plants. I am intrigued about the co-working space and will need to look into that. I would go out of my way to come and pick up coffee here, my latte was that good. They sell beans and there was some interesting merch.
Not my type of coffee shop vibe... It is more of an in and out to me. Pretty bare and minimal which may be the perfect for others! The menu is limited and minimal as well. I am not a actual coffee drinker, so I need all the fun flavors! I did get a cold brew, then had the home made foam on top. The foam was delicious and the best part of my drink! They did have a small small offering of baked goodies available as well.
Amazing coffee. Super friendly staff! As well as a beautiful space to sip your coffee!
Was waiting in line didgitaly at the court house so went across the street to the Common House Coffee. First time ever being there. Got a vanilla Latte hot. It was SO good. Not too hot so I could drink it straight away. Lady (didnt catch her name) was awesome and quick. Inside the coffee house there were comfy chairs and plenty of space. Price a super decent. Defiantly will be back.
Today I had the pleasure of stumbling across this delightful coffee shop, Common House KC and as a side, meet the Owner Josh. He made me a delicious Pour Over and chatted for a bit. I am a new fan of this coffee shop, and it's owner. If you want a great place to setup your laptop and work while sipping on a really really good cup of coffee, this is the spot. I loved the design, very minimalistic, earthy vibe with all the plants, and clean. I can't say enough good about this place, but it's a must! And not to mention it's in the super cute Independence Downtown Town Square. Stop in, you'll be glad you did.
