The food at Ninis is nothing like what we grew up eating, and it's nothing like any real Cuban restaurant in Miami. The place is small, but both times we went during Friday and Saturday dinner, it was empty..... That should have been a signifier for us.The first time, we ordered a Cuban sandwich and it was bland, lacking flavor. We also got the chicken soup and it was ok.Then we decided to give the place a second try and ordered Vaca Frita and Ropa Vieja. First the portion size was small for a Cuban restaurant. Second, both the meats had a sweet taste to them, it was throwing us off. The two dishes also lacked flavor, and these dishes require a lot of seasoning that usually develops over the hours it takes to cook.I really wanted to have a small local mom-n-pop restaurant to support, but I will continue to get my authentic Cuban food from Miami, and Orlando. Parking: Parking was the best part of my experience.
Absolutely delicious! Great staff and service! Sangria the best! Chicken tender and tasty!
Beautiful little restaurant with great food and wonderful service. Best Cuban food I’ve had in the area
