Poeler Forellen Hof - Insel Poel

During our first trip we ate there. We had reserved by phone, but something went wrong and you could not find our name on the reservation list. Nevertheless, we have a place and the food was great. I would like to emphasise that it was not a problem for the kitchen compared to many other restaurants on the island to prepare roast potatoes without bacon. Everything in a pleasant evening with very friendly service and delicious fish dishes!

Pure disappointment!!! We asked for a recommendation and were blocked: Such a question cannot be asked!! Actually, we should have gone after that, but we were hungry and so we ordered and were super disappointed: potato salad from the 5 liter bucket and no regional fish. We'll never be back.

The beautifully located trout farm received us friendly and gave us an outdoor table overlooking water and tower towards sunset. Both the incense soup and the aals soup were a good impression. The two main dishes were very excellent, and this was not only due to sauces: the acidic aal with salt potatoes was wonderfully complemented by the dill sauce. And the Niendorf table top, consisting of Lachs Dorsch and Zander in beautiful pieces, thrilled me with half dill and half discreet srnf sauce. A Grauburgunder and at the end a Rostocker Kümmel Mann and Fru . Right, you do not drive anymore, we are motorhome drivers and have enjoyed the wonderful location still in the in-house parking until the next morning.

The fish was fresh and well prepared, the portions sufficiently large. The service was friendly, the closing time at 8 pm (kitchen closes at 7 pm) a little in the need of reconciliation.

Was the first time there and even if there is actually a trout farm is very satisfied with the half duck; . Operation very nice, installation simple but clean. Not many places but I was lucky. Come back.
