Blue Boy Sandwich Shop - Jacksonville

I have been a fan of Blue Boys since I was a kid. The restaurant is amazing and the staff treat you like family. If you're in the area, definitely give them a try.

So good, feel I got what I paid for which is rarer these days.

I have fond memories of this restaurant. Although it has been years since my last visit, the warm and welcoming atmosphere remains unchanged. The people are still as wonderful as I remember and the food is just as delicious. The bread has a slightly different taste, but it is still good. This restaurant is a historical part of our town and a great representation of our city. I will definitely be returning soon. I ordered the turkey, ham, and cheese sandwich without tomatoes, and my companion got the monster burger.

Always amazing sandwiches fresh bread and the workers have never failed to be in a good mood even at the busiest times.

I was craving a Blue Boy grilled chicken sandwich, so I stopped by to order one. Having my 3 6yo grands with me, I ordered them a pizza, along with chips and dessert. First, the employee took orders before it was my turn. She then went to help make sandwiches. Twenty minutes later, someone clocked in and she asked that person to take my order. 15 minutes later, we got our food. I had to go ask for the dessert and chips and cup for the drinks. Finally, we sat down to eat, and the pizza crust was too thick and hard for my grandchildren to bite through. (I couldn't either. They used to have bread that tasted fresh baked when they were located in the JEA building, but they don't now. I'm saddened that I need to find another sandwich shop.
