Artichoke Basille's Pizza - Jersey City

Way too much sauce on the Pepperoni Pie (16in) and not enough cheese

The slices here are enormous—each one is bigger than my head! I ordered three, and they were all gigantic. Unfortunately, my order arrived cold, and since I was in a hotel without a way to reheat, I missed out on enjoying them at their best. I can tell they would be amazing when hot. I’m deducting one star for the coldness and another for the richness of the sauces, which might not be for everyone. These are definitely not your typical pizza slices!

I visited the location in Hoboken and really enjoyed the tomato basil slice—it was high quality! While I appreciate the artichoke slice from Brixx Barley, I wouldn't say that Artichoke's is the best. The Brixx artichoke slice is wonderfully creamy and melts in your mouth. I tried the artichoke slice during my visit to the Hoboken location.

I've never been one to turn down food, no matter how mediocre, but we ended up throwing the whole pie away, and now my stomach feels off. Our dog managed to snag a bite of cheese off the floor but is now just curled up and sleeping instead of begging for more. It's bizarre how one part of the meal was delicious while the other left me feeling nauseous on the couch. If you decide to order from here, I highly recommend the slices—they're fantastic—but definitely skip the pie. It’s $7 for a slice and $30 for a pizza that’s now sitting in the garbage, making my apartment smell bad because it was undercooked. I might try to salvage the cheese and figure out something to do with that raw dough. Feel free to take this feedback as you wish!
