For instance, some items are around 2.5 times more expensive than similar offerings at California Mountain Bakery, which also provides significantly better quality. Additionally, I experienced long wait times at Granny's—about an hour just to place a basic breakfast order. In summary, Granny's offers small portions and lower quality at unreasonable prices, while California Mountain Bakery serves larger portions of higher quality food at fantastic prices.
The staff is friendly, and the food is decent, but the wait time for the meals can be quite long, regardless of how busy the restaurant is.
I've visited Granny's Kitchen in recent years. It is a great place to go after a good hike on the nearby Laguna Mountain. The restaurant is clean and beautiful, has the house of a grandma feels at it (can not complain), and the food is decent.
It's nice to have some gluten-free options. The staff was somewhat unfriendly and not too helpful. The food was good.
The food was enjoyable, but the service left something to be desired. Paying $13 for a croissant and a cup of coffee felt a bit excessive, especially since the coffee wasn’t all that great.
