Peter's Fish Shop - Kangaroo Flat

We have tried the best fish and chips (including calamari, dim sims, potato cakes, etc.) in many years. Not a single item was overcooked or greasy, and the chips were perfectly golden, crunchy, and fluffy. The order arrived promptly via Menulog and was still hot and delicious. I cannot speak highly enough of our experience.

I was doing laundry at the nearby laundromat when I decided to stop by this restaurant for lunch (only a 2-minute walk away). It is known for having the longest noodle dish in Bendigo, but it seems unlikely that someone named Peter has anything to do with it. The restaurant has seating available for waiting customers, social distancing signs on the floor, and QR codes for easy ordering. The service was good, the prices were reasonable, and the food was delicious. It was clear that this restaurant is popular, as it was bustling with customers on a Sunday afternoon. Overall, this is a fantastic option for takeout.

Three old men, who have had their fair share of burgers over the years, ordered three hamburgers with the "superlot" at this restaurant. The taste took them back to the old days, reminiscent of how burgers used to be in the 1950s. The oldest man in the group couldn't find anything to complain about, saying it was "**** good," and he had more experience with burgers than the rest.

We've been here for a few years. Eating consistently good, nice thick pieces of fish and whole large scallops always cooked to perfection. Very friendly staff who throw extra potato cake when they are small. I wouldn't go any other way for our fish... chips.
