Dos Amigos - Kankakee

Normally I send my fiancee to get my food for me but I was off work early and decided to stop by. I love their food! I've tried several Mexican restaurants in the area but in my opinion Dos Amigos is the best. The cashier was friendly and professional and the restaurant looked well maintained and clean.

Great tacos at a very reasonable price. They have friendly staff, too!

How has this place been open for more than 10 years and we find it easy?! My husband and I have salsa running through our veins, so we always look for new Mexican restaurants. Dos Amigos didn't disappoint. The chicken had amazing taste and was moist without runningny. Steak wasn't grilled or fat. And our son said the grilled ham cheese rivals his own! The staff was friendly and helpful and the restaurant and the toilets were clean. We will definitely come back!

The food is good. And the price is decent. But they should REALLY atleast give a warning that there may be bones in the Birria..
