Eat Chef George - Kapaa

Had a great lunch between our kayak rental in the village of Kamokila. The truck was broken, but George was still there and made us a fantastic lambburger and razor ice cream. Top Notch and a great stop on the Wailua River.

My wife and I were in Kauai for our 5th wedding party and found George of Da Jungle on one of our hiking adventures. George and his new wife were incredibly welcoming, friendly and funny! We had an amazing gyro and then took a bath near the river. It was one of our favorite memories of the trip!

That was my favorite place to eat on Kauai! Beautiful surroundings for food and chill-ax in the village of Kamokila Hawaii. While I was on the island for most July 2015, Chef George of Da Jungle's stylish jungle themed mobile kitchen was moved to a more semi-permanent parking within the main gate. [Note: The move from the outside to the main gate of the village was in response to a wedding that chief George supervised. Food on the island is expensive, so prepare yourself to a small sticker shock, but then prepare yourself to the best organic chicken Gyro $14) You ever had no joke! The sweet potato fries and the homemade falafel was also excellent and received Rave reviews from all I took to Kamokila or brought by Chef George of Da Jungle. Thanks for three weeks reliable and simple yet incredible Gimminess Chef George. It is free to eat under the main thing pavillion in Kamokila Hawaiian Village, while a five US dollars $5) entrance fee is asked to visit the beautifully maintained terrain of this preserved authentic Hawaiian village. This is also a great place to take the children for a kayak or stand-up paddle board tour through the Wailua river area.

Great little place for ingenious food. A big secret, but not long! With short ribs, local fish, lamb, mixed with Hawaiian and Asian ingredients. Inspired.

An unexpected surprise. We pulled up the the food truck expecting sub-par food but were presented with quality burgers and sweet potato fries.
