Kurry Walah - Katy

UPDATE: I decided to go back, whatever the plan was, as the food is incredible (best in Katy safe). Mete the owner's wife and had a great conversation with her! Just what I expected for the first time. Super worthy and respectful. I will leave out the details of the conversation, but long story short, it agreed that the previous visit was not a good experience for a customer, especially a regular customer. When she saw that we ordered our regular decisions, she proposed another appetizer (samosa chat) and another chicken stall (kadai chicken). And as always, their suggestions were great! We haven't had anything we didn't like here. As always, recommend the food here. Very happy that we are here again for good experiences! UPDATE: I'm not sure what happened, maybe the owner has a bad day or something, but he didn't make the substitutions we've always used. Can a change in politics be? He says in his 3.5 years, he never did. I have a bigger problem with rejection than not getting substitution. So not sure if his employees have changed that behind his back or politics (what he denied BTW). And he also seemed rude, not sure why. They used to be very welcoming, remembered me with name and then suddenly this behavior. It's sad because the food is really good and I want this to be my place for Indian food, but bad customer service is something I can't stand. To update my rating from 5 to 3 only for bad customer service. Hopefully this will change, and they will come back to how it was in the past. I will be the happiest to change my rating to 5 stars. A great place for Indian food in Katy! There are not many Indian places here (which is a big surprise for me because of the Indian population), but even if it had been, Kurry Walah would have overtaken it! We wanted to try as many dishes as possible as it was our first time, so we ordered the Thiali, who is a kind of sampler for two (I think it would have worked for three people, the portions were so generous). We ordered a lacha parantha on the side and boy, it was great! The masala chai was strong (in a good way), good to keep me awake for some time! The service was also great and the ambience is cozy. Honestly, can't think of any reason to kidnap even 1 star. Recommend this place (to come from an Indian)!

Best Indian food in Katy! Staff and owners are always hospitable and friendly. My son of a toddler was very busy and everywhere on the place while I wait for my to-go order, the owner took me pity and threw in a free bottle of wine to help with the education. Food is always delicious, hot and well prepared. Thanks Kurrywalah, stop the good work!

We had lunch with my family today for the first time! Delicious food and friendly staff, even our 3 Y.o son loved the food there Definitely gets back!

The second time we ate here. Take a lunch buffet for the first time. The price of the buffet is especially now excellent with inflation. Quality is great! Good selection of vegans and meat offers. Will be interesting to see if they change the menu at the buffet. Be back a lot. Service very nice and toddlers eat free! Excellent experience

Such nice and hospitable staff! The food was great! I asked for my goat vindaloo to be spicy and the chef did not disappoint at all!!! Great play between spice and flavor. Definitely coming back with more friends. Keep up the great work. Mango Lassi was everything!!!!!
