They serve traditional Japanese cuisine, including a vegan Shojin Ryori course. We visited their Kawasaki location, situated within the Atre department store. The vegan course is called Shojin Gozen, with dishes changing according to the seasons. We had the autumn edition, which included dishes such as tempura with seasonal vegetables, soup, and various vegetable supplements. It wasn't the most filling meal, but it was tasty, especially the tempura and the soy meat sandwiched between lotus root slices. I'm looking forward to trying the winter edition of the course. Sunroom is a great place to enjoy affordable and accessible Shojin Ryori. Definitely worth a visit!
"Sunroom" is a chain restaurant with locations in the Kanto region, Sapporo, Nagoya, and Hiroshima. In addition to serving traditional Japanese cuisine, they also offer a vegan soy sauce option. I recently visited their Atre store in Kawasaki and tried their vegan course called "Stars Gozen," which features seasonal dishes. While you can add grated yam for an extra charge, it's not vegan-friendly. The autumn vegetarian menu included tempura, seasonal vegetable soup, and various vegetable dishes. The portion size was modest, but the highlight was the delicious lotus roots and soy meat sandwich. I look forward to revisiting when the seasons change. Sunroom is a casual dining spot where you can enjoy good food at a reasonable price. For further information, please contact the restaurant.
