We would not have made the reservation had we realized that because it was so expensive! Also they 've gone over the top with the fine dining experience all 4 of us served simultaneously by individual servers, who then described what was on our plate. Try understanding what your server is saying when 3 other servers are describing their dishes at the same time. They are probably trying to justify the exhorbitant prices. It used to be just a good meal in a beautiful setting, and worth paying a little more. Now it 's over the top and not worth it.
Extremely over priced (had the Xmas prix fixe). Everyone was lovely and nice and the food was delicious (expect the dessert was a bit lame maybe just uninspired) but bang per buck, not worth it. For the same price, we had a seven course meal with the vintners offering at Menton in Boston. We won't return. Then again, it was one of the only places open for dinner on Xmas day. They had us by the short ones.
In general, food was good. However, my pear salad was over dressed . The bread wasn't anything special. The entrees were good but were very small potions. The service was excellent as was the noise level
The White Barn Inn Restaurant was a great choice for a special occasion and refined dining, excellent service, and a romantic atmosphere. The menu features upscale, seasonal dishes with fresh, local ingredients. The converted barn setting is rustic yet elegant, providing a charming and intimate ambiance. While certainly not cheap, the food, service, and ambiance justify the high price tag, especially for a celebratory dinner.
Was a marvelous experience from start to finish. Very attentive and professional and the food was excellent and so properly seasoned. I would just suggest a little more pizazz to the cheese selection plating
