Gendusa's Italian Eatery - Kenner

Excellent authentic Italian fare. Huge portions and tiny prices. Really good waitress. I love this place...

At first glance, food looks amazing / great presentation. I have the muffuletta and chicken parm. The best was the Muffuletta, I only have half the size and it was huge not to mention that it was loaded with olives. Here? Where's the chicken? Parm was basically fried bread, there are more meat in McDonald?s chicken nuggets. The angel hair pasta was over boiled musk. As an Italian who has eaten homemade pasta sauce every night, the sauce is not recognizable as something Italian, the menu calls it Gravy? which I suspected was southern slang for sauce, but Gravy definitely describes it better. On top they make good alcoholic drinks.

All we had was incredible. Huge portions amd tasty, polite and efficient service and very cheap. Definitely on my regular hit list now!

Ooooh the meatballs!! The taste of meatballs was amazing. The Italian sauce with peppers and onions was also very good. Recommend this restaurant!

Gendusa's is my new favorite Italian spot! I went with my friend in the afternoon and it was very busy...always a good sign. We ordered a pizza with itialian sausage and pepperoni...AMAZING! We then each ordered an entrée, I had spaghetti and meatballs and she had chicken parm; both were delicious. I must say that the pizza was the best part! Definitely worth it!
