Mattheessen's - Key West

Unbelievable. I need to figure out this dough recipe. The peanut butter cookie with fudge on top is a cookie and chocolate lovers dream! Definitely shareable. We took a cookie (or 3) to go because they were that good and weighed it in at 1.6 pounds.

Excellent deserts, walking by it we just could not resist and had to try it! A very large selection of ice creams and the baked good were very fresh!

Homemade cookie as big as your head. I know I was on a bike ride, but it is a must try cookie. On a hot day in the keys everyone was enjoying the ice cream as well.

When Mattheessen's says it's homemade-they mean it. So glad the family who owns this business continues to make everything, including the ice cream, from scratch, from fresh ingredients every day! They are amazing! My family loves visiting Key West and Mattheessen's is always at the top of our list of places we have to go back to. We even mention it at other times throughout the year, wishing we could have some of their frozen treats and wishing they could franchisenationwide! It's a true Key West institution. My daughters were tiny, getting off a cruise ship and getting a giant cookie, and over 20 years later we still love to go get one of those giant cookies to recreate the photos of them sittingoutside with their cookies in hand. It's still the same. This is a family run business, you will see them all working every day, (they have late hours, which is also fantastic) they are so friendly and you can tell they really enjoy andcare about their product and their customers.

Coolest espresso machine! Its a hand pulled shot, highly recommended if you?re on Duval and need a quick caffeine fix. The sweets looked really tempting, they were literally scooping the brownies out of the pan. I ended up getting a great shot of coffee and leaving with lots of cravings, I will definitely be back
