Well run pub in a lovely Yorkshire village. Dog friendly as well!

Had Xmas day lunch yesterday here and couldn't fault a thing. Food was beautiful.. staff very attentive couldn't do more for you and lovely with my 3 year old... gorgeous setting. couldn't have asked for more and a lovely way to round off a hard year. thank you so much we will be back soon!

Lovely place to stay. Good access from A1(M). Very helpful and friendly staff. Comfortable room and dog friendly.

As always, we have had a SUPERB dinner at the Black Horse. The chef is really at the top of his game we simply have never had a poor meal. Service is always amazing and Steve always shows his appreciation for the support of locals. These are terribly difficult times for the hospitality industry. We count our lucky stars to have such a brilliant pub in the village and we know people near and far feel the same. We all look forward to the day things can get back to something near normal!
