Freshii - Kitchener

First time at Freshii and won’t be back. Paid over $20 for a small green smoothie and veggie wrap with falafel. Didn’t enjoy either item at all and most of the wrap ended up in the garbage (I choked down the smoothie). Customer service is lacking; minimal engagement and no offer to grill the wrap (or ask if I wanted it grilled). Very disappointed as I was excited to try this franchise.

This location is satisfactory. The staff is friendly and accommodating. However, a concerning aspect is their inconsistent glove usage when handling food. On several occasions, I observed them wearing the same gloves they had used for touching cash, computers, and various surfaces, and then proceeding to handle the food for my salad. To my dismay, they even placed receipts containing BPA on top of my food. This raises questions about the concealed and potentially unhygienic practices involved in food preparation at a place that otherwise promotes health-conscious dining.

Salad was not good at all. Chicken was frozen and bacon tasted sour. Also, bacon was not cut properly and was big chunks. Too expensive for it not to be optimal. I won’t order again.

I ordered their pangoa bowl for lunch with chicken breast..only to realize the chicken was uncooked and an odd texture. I ate a few pieces but it was too horrid I had to pick the rest out. I’ve never experienced such an atrocity and now I’m currently suffering from food poisoning, day 2. They took a while to serve me but honestly take 30 minutes if you have to because no one wants to experience this! The bowl was also poorly constructed. Wish I worked closer to the Waterloo location(s), I’ve NEVER had any complaints. Train your afternoon staff or something! I really don’t want to be completely negative so I will say the customer service was pleasant, very friendly acknowledgement and wished me a nice day.

Kind of disappointed, I’ve been to a lot of freshii’s but this one was really cheap on quantity, definitely won’t be returning. Especially if you’re spending $20 on a bowl
